The book is about a small girl and her pet turtle.. On their way to school one morning Melodie stops and falls asleep, When she wakes, her pet turtle has gone missing. When trying to find him she goes into a mysterious mineshaft. She finds him, but they both fall into a hole and into a world underground.
During this adventure they meet many characters places and things. They unwrap story of the universe.

Skimmers, like minions, like nano bots ready to go anywhere to any programmed function.
Time Smith, a gatekeeper, a time traveler, has the answer to many questions, does not have the answer to many questions.
Vidivia, drone like robot unaware, a security robot with many subroutines.
Hal, a large biocomputer that runs everything.
